Winter Walking

apparently i can't add photos here today...ugh - I will add later?

I've kept up my walking now consistently since September - that's four straight months! I've walked through mostly good weather - although we had quite a bit of foggy/rainy weather in November, which wasn't fun but totally doable.

Since just after Christmas I've been walking through snow or snow/ice.  It's been a bit tricky and as of last week I had to wear my boots.  I have a pair of light boots which work but they certainly don't give me the support that my athletic shoes do - and my plantar fasciitis/heel spur started to really bother me.  But athletic tape has helped that.

My question: WHAT DO YOU WEAR ON YOUR FEET FOR BRISK WINTER WALKING?  How is outdoor exercising/walking where you are right now?

I see on the Google help for Bloggers that a number of people are having problems in that area. Not me, but it's a problem for quite a few people.

Flip flops... indoors, being lazy. LOl, Sorry!!! I'm no help! :) But I wanted to comment so I could say how much I am loving this color of green background!

Pretty icy here today so I wore boots. I also use ice cleats on them when it's really icy.
Managed to wear my running shoes until this week!

I haven't been out walking in bad weather but I would think you would have to consider both, safety and comfort. You are an awesome picture of dedication, thanks

I am such a sissy that I don't do outdoor exercise when the weather is bad. I totally respect and sdmire you for doing it.

In the spring when you shed those extra clothes, you'll discover that you can cover a lot more ground in a shorter time. It will be worth it for sure.

Hey Dawn! Are you keeping the record straight up to now? That’s really nice! Actually, exercise comes easy once your body gets accustomed to it. It becomes some sort of a healthy addiction. :) Keep it up! Nothing feels better than achieving improved posture, more toned body and overall fitness especially when you know you’ve sweated your way to it. :D
